About the Archive
Anachron designs original future-inspired objects with fictional archive records — and builds them in the open.
Anachron is a small design project with one idea: make objects that feel like they were recovered from a future that never happened. Desk sculptures, instruments and collectibles with the precision of lab equipment and the atmosphere of a film set — and a short fictional record to go with each one.
Where we are
At the very beginning. Every artifact on this site is a concept study. We have not manufactured anything yet, and we are not taking orders. Right now we are sharing designs, listening to feedback and collecting supplier quotes so that the first object we make is one people actually want, at a price that works.
Design principles
- Original, always. Our shapes, names and stories are our own. We do not copy film or game props, and we are not affiliated with any franchise.
- Restraint over noise. Museum archive meets spacecraft lab — not a cluttered gamer shop.
- Honest objects. If something has no lights, batteries or moving parts, we say so. Nothing we sell will claim to measure time, predict the future or do anything it cannot do.
What is real and what is lore
The object is real: a physical piece you can put on a desk, with materials and dimensions we publish once they are verified. The dossier is fiction — a file number, a classification and a few lines of story. On every page the two are kept visibly apart, so you never have to guess which is which.
Tomorrow’s Archive
Tomorrow’s Archive is the name of the fictional collection the dossiers belong to, and of our journal, where we write about design and document how each artifact is made — including the parts that do not go to plan.
